High Energy Frequency Tesla Inc. (HEFTI) was established by
Dr. M. M. Kekez on March 28, 2002 to continue the R&D on plasmas/e-beams
and to further develop the powerful pulsed power technology, that
had been initiated at the National Research Council of Canada in
Ottawa. Dr. Kekez has 30 years experience in the fields of electrical
gas discharge phenomena and the pulsed power technology.
The motto of the company is "The quest for the best."
Areas of Scientific Interest
The dynamics of plasma formation and the properties of plasma/ electron beams are of interest under the influence of current ranging from ampere levels to Mega-ampere levels, and under the voltages up to Mega-volt with times ranging from picoseconds to milliseconds.
Areas of research interest:
Electrical energy generation and transmission
Development of pulsed power systems, pulse compression and conditioning with the necessary diagnostics required to do the specific work in the field of
Electromagnetic pulses (EMP)
Radio Frequency (RF) radiation
High-Power Microwaves (HPM)
Electro-thermal (ET) plasma for propellant ignition
E-beams and X-ray generations, and
Plasma fusion (energy) experiments
Biophysics related to the EMP and ozone effects on the microorganisms. The tasks were to achieve the cold (food-drug) sterilization as well as the elimination of viruses in body fluids.
Assessment of the RF/HPM radiation's effects on the electronic infrastructure caused by the electrically-driven RF/HPM radiation sources and by the explosively-driven RF/HPM radiation sources. The work is in progress to fully develop the explosively-driven RF/HPM generators.
